Things to know regarding calling time

-  You can call "Time" based on many reasons. Common ones are: manager request, a batter hit by a pitch, a rule violation, an injury, or to confer with fellow umpires to review a play.

-  Check to make sure all runners have stopped and settled on their bases before calling for time.
