Calling a foul ball

Things to know regarding a foul ball call

-  Calling foul ball also indicates to the players that the play is now "dead". In a dead ball situation, all play stops and runners must return to the base they were on prior to the call.

-  Shout your foul call loudly so all players hear you. If they don't hear you yell "foul", they'll assume it's a fair ball and continue playing.
